Royal Shakespeare Theatre

Built in 1932, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre is the RSC's main performance space in Stratford-upon-Avon. The theatre recently completed a £112.8 million transformation to turn the main theatre into a modern day Shakespeare theatre. The renovations included a thrust stage auditorium able to seat over 1,030 audience members, expanded and renovatied public areas, including a new rooftop café and restaurant, and improved backstage conditions for the actors and crew. The new theatre is also more accessible to people with disabilities, and offer a more comfortable theatre experience.
